Access Infinity is proud to set a science-based target, positioning them as corporate leaders of the low-carbon transition

October 1st, 2024

LONDON, UK — 1st October 2024, Access Infinity, an award-winning market access consultancy and digital solutions firm, has had its emissions reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Access Infinity has long upheld strong practices in managing greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations (Scope 1 and 2), aligning with the necessary standards to limit global warming to 1.5°C. As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, the company now focuses on further reducing emissions across its value chain (Scope 3).

With a new Scope 3 target that meets the SBTi criteria for ambitious value chain goals, Access Infinity is setting a benchmark for climate leadership and sustainable growth.

Access Infinity’s Partner, Nick Proctor shares his enthusiasm on the company’s latest achievement:

“This represents a significant milestone for Access Infinity, reflecting our ongoing commitment to sustainability which aligns with our clients’ values and our shared goal of making a positive impact on market access and the broader pharmaceutical community. I’d like to extend my congratulations to the entire team for securing SBTi approval, a key achievement that underscores our dedication to ethical and sustainable business practices.”

What are Science-based targets?

Science-based targets are emissions reduction targets in line with what the latest climate science says is needed to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement – to limit global warming to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C. Science-based targets are emissions reduction goals in line with what the latest climate science says is needed to prevent the worst impacts of climate change. Science-based targets show companies how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions in order to be consistent with keeping warming below the most dangerous levels.

What is the Science-based targets initiative (SBTi)

The SBTi is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations GlobalCompact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.
